A month-long competition rewarding standout financial forecasting by founders.

Accepting Submissions May 1 - 31, 2025

Most startup competitions reward the best storytellers. This one rewards the best operators.

With the No-Pitch Competition, there’s no stage, no deck, and no rehearsed speeches—just the numbers prove whether a startup is built to scale.

This May, we’re giving one startup $10,000 in cash for having the strongest financial model, not the flashiest pitch. Using Profitual’s AI-driven forecast evaluator, we’ll analyze every submission against investor-grade benchmarks—so founders can compete on substance, not spin.

What is the eligibility criteria?

Headquarters: Businesses must be based in Canada

Revenue: Ideal applicants are generating less than $1M in Annual Recurring Revenue today. Pre-revenue companies are welcomed to apply.

Is there a sector focus?

The No-Pitch competition is open to businesses operating in all sectors.

The benchmarks that power our evaluation model are derived from thousands of startup financial model data points across a wide variety of sectors.

How are the models evaluated?

Forecast models are first evaluated by our secure, privately owned AI model that has been trained on thousands of startup financial model data points.

Evaluation is then audited by a team of early-stage accountants and venture capitalists with over 2 decades of combined experience.

What is the evaluation criteria?

Forecasts are evaluated against three primary sets of criteria:

1. VC Grade - Does the model show an investable business?
2. Comprehensive - How complete is the financial forecast?
3. Accuracy - How correct are your calculations and assumptions?

For a deeper dive into the evaluation criteria, register for our May 9th webinar "Forecasting Essentials for Startups with <$1M ARR"  where we'll be diving into these topics more!
